PAYMENT, CANCELLATION & Refund Policy – USERS/CUSTOMERS
Ovalstars Entertainment Private Limited (“Us”) has a Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy in respect of all services listed on the platform, wherein Users (“Buyers”, “You”, “Your”) may cancel their booking and request a refund (subject to deduction of promotional discounts/ cashbacks, taxes, cancellation charges, administrative charges etc.)
Payment Policy
The acceptable procedure for Payment is mentioned in the table below:

Please note that if the User uses any promo code to make the booking, then the User will have to pay 100% of the booking amount at the time of booking itself.
The User agrees that in the event of non-confirmation of booking due to any technical reasons (like network downtime, disconnection with third party platforms such as payment gateways, banks etc.) or any other similar failures, Ovalstars obligation shall be limited refunding the booking amount, if any, received from the customer. Such refund shall completely discharge Ovalstars from all liabilities with respect to that transaction. Additional liabilities, if any, shall be borne by the User.
Cancellation & Refund policy
If a booking needs to be cancelled, Users must make cancellation to a booking at the ‘Cancel Booking’ tab available under the Booking Section in the User Profile. All cancellations are subject to our Payment Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, Booking Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) as well as Terms of Use Policy.
If you cancel the booking before it is confirmed by the Seller, Ovalstars might charge 5% of the total booking amount as the convenience fee against the same. However, if you cancel the booking after the Artist/ Service Provider has confirmed acceptance of the engagement, you will be liable to pay Ovalstars a charge to compensate for any losses and expenses incurred as a result of the cancellation. The nearer the cancellation date is to the engagement date, the greater the charge will be. The sum refundable are as follows:
- If booking is Cancelled 15 Days before the event date – 50% of the total booking amount would be refunded
- If booking is Cancelled within 15 Days of the event date – no refund would be issued
Under normal situations, the refunds are processed instantly into Your Ovalstars wallet which can be used to book another services from Ovalstars Platform. You may also request to withdraw your refund by requesting the same from your User Account. Refund requests are usually processed within 3 working days however at times it may take upto working 30 days to be processed.
There are various ways in which cancellation can happen. The same are listed below:
- Cancellation by Buyer – The Cancellation can be made by the Buyer due to certain reasons, in such a case the charges would be applicable as per the policy listed above.
- Cancellation by Seller – If the Booking is cancelled by Seller due to any reason, full refund (total booking amount) will be issued.
- Cancellation by Ovalstars – In case OVALSTARS discovers or has reasons to believe at any time during or after creating User account and/ or after making a booking of services by the Buyer that the request for services is either unauthorized or the information provided by the Buyer of itself or of the event details are not correct or that any fact has been misrepresented by that Buyer or event location or venue not safe for our Seller to provide service there, OVALSTARS shall be entitled to appropriate legal remedies against the Buyer, including cancellation of the bookings, without any prior intimation to the Buyer and may also charge full booking amount as the cancellation charge against the same. In such an event, OVALSTARS shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage that may be caused to the Buyer or any other person in the booking, as a consequence of such cancellation of booking or services. Ovalstars may also cancel the booking if it finds out at the later stage any information about the Seller is untrue or incorrect or if the seller doesn’t deem fit to provide service at that event and in this case full refund will be issued to the Buyer. Ovalstars may also cancel any booking with or without any reason and will be liable to pay only the amount which it has received from the Buyer.
- Cancellations due to non-payment - If Buyer fails to make the payment as per the payment policy mentioned above within the timeframe asked, this will be regarded as Cancellation by Buyer due to non-payment and Buyer will not be eligible for any refund. In cases of short charging of the charges/ commission amount, taxes, statutory fee, convenience fee etc., owing to any technical error or other reason, OVALSTARS shall reserve the right to deduct, charge or claim the balance amount from the Buyer and the Buyer shall pay such balance amount to OVALSTARS. In cases where the short charge is claimed prior to the fulfilment of the booking, OVALSTARS will be at liberty to cancel such bookings and charge applicable cancellation charges if the amount is not paid before the Event Date.
- Cancellation due to non fulfilment of Artist/ Service Providers Requirements: If the Artist/ Service Provider’s requirements are not fulfilled as per the agreed terms, then the booking will be considered as Cancelled by User and the User would not be eligible to get any refund.
- Cancellation by unforeseen circumstances: If the Cancellation happens due to unforeseen circumstances in such a scenario the ‘Force Majeure’ clause of the Agreement would be applicable.
- Cancellation due to Visa formalities - If the Cancellation happens due to any issue related to Visa formalities, please note in such a case the Refund will be issued only after deducting the administrative expenses of Ovalstars & Seller.
- Illegitimate Bookings - Except with the prior registration with Ovalstars as B2B agents, priority partner or a franchisee, and explicit permission of Ovalstars to use the Website/ App, all event managers, event management companies, consolidators or aggregators ("Event Managers") are barred from using this Website for any commercial or resale purpose. If any such bookings are detected, Ovalstars reserves the right, including without limitation, to cancel all such bookings immediately without any notice to such event managers and also to withhold payments or any refunds thereto. Ovalstars shall not be held liable for any incidental loss or damage that may arise from the bookings made by any person through such Event Managers. The liability in case of such cancellations shall be solely borne by such Event Managers.
- Other Reasons:
- Cancellation due to discrepancies in the Booking terms and Event: In case OVALSTARS or Seller discovers or has reasons to believe at any time after the booking of services has been made by the User that there are discrepancies in the Booking details as provided by the User and/or the event details are not correct or the Event in itself is illegal or any fact regarding the Event is misrepresented, OVALSTARS shall be entitled to appropriate legal remedies against the User, including cancellation of the bookings, without any prior intimation to the User and may also charge full booking amount as the cancellation charge against the same. In such an event, OVALSTARS shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage that may be caused to the User or any other person in the booking, as a consequence of such cancellation of booking or services.
- Cancellation due to operational reasons: In case OVALSTARS or Seller discovers that the booking has been cancelled due to some operational issues or there are lapses in the arrangements or information as provided by the User, OVALSTARS shall not be entitled to pay any refund to the User and may also charge full booking amount as the cancellation charge against the same. In such an event, OVALSTARS shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage that may be caused to the User or any other person in the booking, as a consequence of such cancellation of booking or services.
- Cancellation due to safety and security: In case OVALSTARS or Seller discovers or has reasons to believe at any time during or after making a booking of services by the User, that there are concerns in the safety and security of either the Seller and its team or the Event Venue, OVALSTARS shall be entitled to appropriate legal remedies against the User, including cancellation of the bookings, without any prior intimation to the User and may also charge full booking amount as the cancellation charge against the same. In such an event, OVALSTARS shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage that may be caused to the User or any other person in the booking, as a consequence of such cancellation of booking or services.
- Cancellation by Judicial or Government Authority: If any judicial, quasi-judicial, investigation agency, government authority approaches OVALSTARS to cancel any booking, OVALSTARS may cancel the same without approaching the concerned User and no refund will be issued against the same.
- Cancellation due to non-fulfilment of PAN details: The RBI mandates collection of PAN details for all transactions made under Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS) which include any international booking made on the Platform or through Sales Channels. The User warrants and confirms that PAN details of the User will be shared by the User on or before the cut-off date prescribed by Ovalstars either at the time of booking or after the booking is made. The User further confirms that non-compliance of this requirement may result in cancellation of the booking and no refund being issued against the same.
- Cancellation due to fraudulent transactions: The Seller shall not hold OVALSTARS responsible for any loss or damage arising out of measures taken by OVALSTARS for safeguarding its own interest and that of its genuine customers and sellers. This would also include OVALSTARS denying or cancelling any bookings on account of suspected fraud transactions and no refund will be issued against the same.
- Cancellation due to Suspected/ repeated offences: Ovalstars may, at its sole discretion, reject requests for availing Refunds from Users requesting serial or repeated refunds, or Users who have violated or are suspected of violation of the Terms of Use, Disclaimer Policy or any other terms and conditions of use of the Website.
This Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy is a part of and incorporated within, the Terms of Use and the respective booking agreements.
As a condition of registering with us on the Ovalstars Platform and using the services offered through this Platform, you expressly acknowledge that you have read and understood this Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy and you agree to be bound by its terms and conditions. If at any time you disagree with this Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy or any part of it, your sole remedy is to cease use of Ovalstars Platform and all its services and terminate your account. However, any transactions occurring prior to the date of such termination shall be governed and controlled in full by the terms of this Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy.
FORCE MAJEURE
There can be exceptional circumstances where Ovalstars and / or the Sellers may be unable to honor the confirmed bookings due to various reasons or a Force Majeure Event. In such a situation ‘Force Majeure Event’ shall be defined as one or more of the following causes which renders performance impossible, impracticable, or unsafe: death, illness of, or injury of Seller’s key personnel; theft, loss, destruction, or breakdown of equipment owned or leased by Seller; fire; threat(s) or act(s) of terrorism; riot(s) or other form(s) of civil disorder in, around, or near the Performance(s) venue; strike, lockout, lockdown or other forms of Labour difficulties; any act, order, rule, or regulation of any court, government agency, or public authority; act of God; absence of power or other essential services; failure of technical facilities; failure or delay of transportation not within Seller’s reasonable control; inclement weather; and/or any similar or dissimilar cause beyond Seller’s or User’s reasonable control.
If a Force Majeure Event occurs, the User and the Sellers respective obligations hereunder will be excused fully, without any additional obligation, and each of the User and Seller shall bear its own costs incurred in connection with the engagement. Travel and accommodation already booked will remain the burden of the User and costs for this cannot be claimed back from the Seller or Ovalstars. The User agrees that Ovalstars being merely a facilitator of the services, cannot be held responsible for any such Force Majeure Event.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, if Seller is ready and willing to provide its services, User will pay Seller full amount of the guarantee set forth as per the Booking Agreement.
If Seller is unable to depart city of venue after the Booking completion due to flight cancellation, or flight unavailability caused by onsite delays in Seller’s performance/ service schedule or failure to get to the city of Booking airport on time due to local traffic or delays in User-provided or arranged ground transportation, User shall be responsible for providing additional hotel accommodations, flight tickets, food & beverages, ground transfers and per diem allowances as required, in accordance with the terms agreed upon during the booking. Seller will make best efforts to depart city of venue as soon as reasonably possible in an effort to limit User’s costs.
